Forensic Psychological Evaluations & Consultations

Jordan Hall, PhD, Kentucky licensed clinical & forensic psychologist

Forensic Assessment & Consultation Services in Kentucky

I provide objective, court-ready psychological evaluations and consultation services to clients throughout Kentucky. I accept referrals from both plaintiff/prosecution and defense counsel.

Areas of practice include:

  • Competency to stand trial evaluations

  • Criminal responsibility (sanity) evaluations

  • Mitigation/sentencing evaluations

  • Psychological injury evaluations, including PTSD and trauma-related claims

  • Consultation for attorneys on psychological testing strategy, deposition and cross-examination preparation, and review or rebuttal of opposing experts' reports

Advanced MMPI Assessment and Analysis

I worked directly on research and development of the MMPI-3 at Kent State University, equipping me with first-hand knowledge of how the scales, norms, and validity indicators were constructed and validated. I specialize in interpretation of the MMPI-2-RF and MMPI-3, including using the embedded validity scales to detect:

  • Symptom exaggeration and malingering in personal injury and criminal cases

  • Defensive responding or symptom minimization

  • Inconsistent or invalid response patterns that might undermine an evaluation's credibility

These skills are especially useful in cases where the validity of self-reported psychological symptoms are central to the legal question, such as feigned PTSD in personal injury litigation.
